We want everyone to carry our knives. So we are always looking for ways to make them more accessible without sacrificing the quality that we expect from ourselves. We hope that this pre configured model will accomplish that in a really simple way. We looked to our material suppliers to find which materials that we already use could we bring down in price by buying in volume. AEB-L steel and Natural Canvas Micarta were the answers! We hope this knife will be the beginning of a series of models that simplify the buying process, and keep pricing reasonable.
This knife was designed in partnership with Matt Helm. It is based on his Dogbone pattern. It retains all of his attention to detail and usability in a package that we think will be more accessible than ever before. For this run we have manufactured them out of AEB-L stainless steel. It is professionally heat treated to 59-60 HRc, and has a tumbled finish and Dauntless jimping. The knife has an overall length of 7.1" and a cutting edge of 3.1". It is 5/32" thick and features a machined double flat grind edge geometry.
This model includes the AEB-L stainless blade in a tumbled finish, natural canvas micarta scales, and a black kydex sheath as shown. It is also compatible with all other Dogbone sheaths and scales available elsewhere on the website.
