The Hiker F.I.D.O. - Dauntless Manufacturing

Built for Everyday Carry

A dependable multi-tool performs consistently when you need it. The F.I.D.O. collection delivers multiple functions without unnecessary bulk. It fits easily in your pocket or clips securely to your belt.

The tool excels at fire starting, light prying, screw driving, scraping, and opening. It can be configured, sharpened, or unsharpened depending on the material and use case. Sharpened versions feature a 1.3" micro-blade, and unsharpened versions function as non-cutting utility tools.

  • Ferro Rod Notch

The integrated notch provides clean sparks for fire starting. It works with standard ferro rods for reliable ignition in the field.

  • Pry/Driver Tip

The flat head screwdriver tip handles light-duty prying and driving tasks. Use it for quick fixes, package opener duties, and general utility work.

  • Bottle Opener

An integrated bottle opener means one less tool to carry. It's positioned for easy access and solid leverage.

  • Wrench Flats

Four integrated wrench sizes cover common hardware. Sizes include 1/2", 3/8", 1/4", and 3/16" for tool selection flexibility.

  • Sharpenable Micro-Blade

When configured in knife steels, the 1.3" blade can be sharpened for cutting tasks. This adds pick blade functionality to the multi-tool options.

FAQs

What does F.I.D.O. stand for?

F.I.D.O. stands for Ferro, Impact, Driver, Opener. These four functions define the tool's core capabilities. It handles fire starting, light impact, and pry work, screw driving, and bottle opening.

Should I choose sharpened or unsharpened?

It depends on your intended use. Sharpened versions add a 1.3" micro-blade for cutting tasks. They require a sheath for safe carry. Unsharpened versions function as non-cutting edc tools. They can be carried without a sheath.

What is the EOD F.I.D.O. used for?

The EOD F.I.D.O. is built from beryllium copper. This material is nonmagnetic and nonsparking. It's designed for explosive ordnance disposal, industrial safety, and hazardous environments. Do not grind, sand, or modify the EOD version. Creating dust from beryllium copper is hazardous.

Is the F.I.D.O. compatible with Hiker accessories?

Pineland F.I.D.O. tools feature 5160 steel, aerospace aluminum scales, and woodland camo Kydex sheaths. Each piece has a unique serial number that does not repeat.

What carry options are available?

The F.I.D.O. Sheath offers Low Profile, Standard Depth, and Deep Carry configurations. It supports multiple clips, soft loops, and belt attachments. Nine color options are available to match your gear.
