Tapered Tang Damascus Integral Fighter

This is a one-of-one piece from Chris Moss—an award-winning ABS Journeyman Smith with over two decades of bladesmithing experience.

Forged from a single billet, this integral fighter is constructed from a 300-layer Turkish Twist Damascus blend of 1095, 1084, 1075, and 15N20. The entire knife—from blade through guard to tang—was forged as one continuous piece, resulting in exceptional structural integrity and seamless flow.

The double-edged blade carries the bold, high-contrast twist pattern throughout, with clean geometry and a purpose-driven profile. The integral construction provides both strength and balance, eliminating transitions or mechanical joints.

A Brown Mallee Burl handle is precisely fit to a tapered tang, showcasing the distal taper while maintaining a locked-in, ergonomic grip. The fit and finish are exacting, with the handle material selected to complement the movement of the Damascus.

At 11.4" overall length, this is a full-size fighter with excellent point control and neutral balance. In hand, it feels exactly as it should—fast, stable, and deliberate.
