Dauntless Manufacturing Wins Big at Blade Show Texas 2025
Blade Show Texas 2025 was an unforgettable experience for Dauntless Manufacturing. While we’ve proudly exhibited at Blade Show Atlanta for the past three years, this was our first time attending Blade Show Texas, and we couldn’t have been more excited to be part of it. Texas has a deep-rooted history in bladesmithing, and the enthusiasm for high-quality, hard-use knives was evident throughout the show.
What made this debut even more special? Taking home two major awards in the Factory segment:
🏆 Best American Made – Clifft Bowie
🏆 Best EDC – Moss
Walking away with these honors at our first Blade Show Texas is something we’re incredibly proud of. These awards reinforce our commitment to making purpose-driven, hard-use knives entirely in-house at our shop in North Carolina.
The Clifft Bowie: Best American Made
The Clifft Bowie is a knife that embodies the spirit of American craftsmanship. Inspired by the legendary Bowie knife but refined for modern applications, this blade is built to be tough, reliable, and versatile. Designed to handle both rugged fieldwork and hard-use utility tasks, it’s a knife that pays homage to its heritage while pushing the boundaries of performance.
Winning Best American Made in the Factory segment is a true honor. It’s a testament to the relentless dedication we put into our craft—precision machining, meticulous finishing, and a commitment to quality that ensures every knife leaving our shop is ready for a lifetime of use.
The Moss: Best EDC
The Moss, designed by our co-founder Chris Moss, has quickly become a favorite among our customers—and now, it’s officially recognized as Best EDC in the Factory segment.
When we designed the Moss, we wanted to create a compact fixed blade that wasn’t just convenient to carry but also highly capable in real-world use. Featuring an ergonomic handle, a ferro rod notch for fire-starting, and an optimized blade geometry, the Moss is a knife that excels in daily carry, outdoor adventures, and emergency situations. It’s not just an EDC knife—it’s a tool that becomes an extension of the user, ready for whatever challenge comes next.
To have the Moss recognized as Best EDC among so many outstanding entries is a huge moment for us. It validates what we already knew—this is a knife that truly belongs in the hands of those who demand rugged reliability from their gear.
First Time at Blade Show Texas
Being our first year at Blade Show Texas, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. While we’ve exhibited at Blade Show Atlanta for several years, every event has its own unique energy and audience. From the moment the doors opened, we were blown away by the level of enthusiasm and knowledge among attendees.
Meeting customers in person, shaking hands with those who have supported us from the beginning, and introducing new people to Dauntless Manufacturing was an incredible experience. The Texas knife community is filled with passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated people, and it was an honor to share our work with them.
Beyond our own booth, it was inspiring to see the level of craftsmanship on display across the show. Makers, manufacturers, and collectors from all over came together to showcase the best of what the industry has to offer. It’s events like these that remind us why we do what we do—because the knife community is one of the most dedicated, hard-working, and skilled groups of people out there.
